Teacher Bio

Education: 

I received my Bachelor's of Music Education from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

I received my Master's degree in Counseling from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

I also have 30 additional credit hours of Master's level work focusing on Middle Level Education. 

 

Before moving "South" I was a teacher in Michigan for 9 years. I taught middle school band as well as high school marching band, jazz band, and percussion ensemble. 

 

When I got married and moved to the warmer states, I started working with the US Military as a counselor for our military students. This opportunity allowed me to travel throughout Europe and the UK, living and working wherever our service members and their families are stationed. 

 

I have been teaching at Sycamore since 2018! I am truly enjoying working with you and your students!

 

My husband, Wesley, and I live in Clarksville. We enjoy disc golfing, geocaching, traveling, scavenger hunts, and solving corn mazes! I like reading, a lot! And yes, I like Reality TV shows... Survivor is my favorite!
