About Me
I am so excited to join the Sycamore Knights Family! Science is my favorite subject and one I enjoy teaching the most. I am looking forward to meeting each of my students and know this will be a great school year. This will be my twenty-fourth year of teaching. I began my teaching career as a science teacher in Clarksville before moving to Denver, CO. After teaching in Colorado for 9 years, I moved to KY where I met my husband, got married, and after buying a house in Clarksville, I accepted a job teaching at Sycamore Middle School. My favorite quote is by Albert Einstein, "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Science from Austin Peay State University in 1995 and my Master of Arts degree in Instructional Effectiveness from Trevecca Nazarene University in 1999. In 2012, I completed coursework at Western Kentucky University to become certified in Gifted and Talented Education.
