Teacher Information

Hello! 

 

My name is Kristy Ross and I am a 5th grade math teacher. I grew up in Cheatham County; graduating from Sycamore High in 2012. I went on to graduate Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 2019.

 

This will be my first year at Sycamore Middle, but will be my seventh year teaching. I have previously taught 3rd grade for three years and 2nd grade for three years at Pegram Elementary.

 

I am married to my husband Robert, who is a design engineer; and we were blessed with two beautiful boys. Our first son, Franklin was born in 2021 with many complicated medical issues. He passed when he was three. Our second son, Alexander was born in 2023. He will be two in November. We have two very large dogs, Layla and Dakota. 

 

When I am not teaching, you can find me at home with my family. I love a great cup of coffee, listening to music, watching/listening to podcasts and spending time with my son.
