Welcome from Principal

 

The Sycamore Middle School teachers and staff welcome you to a new school year. Let me assure you that your child is the most important person at this school. The faculty and staff here have dedicated themselves to helping make your child successful. To help you enjoy your experience at SMS, we would make the following suggestions:

*Get to know your school and the faculty and staff. We are here to help you.

*Visit the school whenever possible.  Be active in your child’s education by attending school functions and Parent Teacher Advisory meetings.

*Read any newsletters or information that is sent home with your   child.

*Encourage your child to cooperate, to be courteous, and to respect the rights of others.

*Your positive example of support for SMS will encourage the same in your children.

*Familiarize yourself with all items in the Student/Parent Handbook and refer to them as needed.

*Visit the SMS website for up-to-date information and the Board of Education website for policy information not covered in our school handbook.
