About Mrs. Baker
Hello! I am so excited to begin this new school year! This will be my seventh year teaching middle school Science. This year, I am teaching 8th grade Science and STEAM! I am looking forward to getting to know my new students and share my love of science with them! Prior to working in the education field, I spent eight years at an environmental science lab, both as a lab analyst and a project manager. I decided to make my transition into teaching because of my passion for science and the passion to share that love of science with students. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics with a Chemistry minor from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Austin Peay State University.
I reside in Cheatham County with my husband, a fellow Cheatham County educator, and my two children, ages seven and ten. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, read, kayak, and listen to music. Although summer was amazing, I am excited to get back on a schedule and meet my new students!
